Performace Trials Coal Valley Hounds

The 2007 Centennial Hound Performace Trials were a great
success at Coal Vally. The Gathering started with a
wonderful steak dinner in the town of Mineral Springs, KS.
A band was present and played a great variety of music that
did not take the participants long to start dancing. Local
folk mixed in with the group to round out an enjoyable
evening.
The trials began on Tuesday with 10 hunts represented and a
pack of 50 hounds. The judges were friendly and explained
to us how hounds were scored and how the winner was
determined. There was a day one, day two, and and overall
winner. FLH took the honors in stride ad their pack won
both days and then the overall 1st place.
